In case you couldn't tell by now, we'll be making an ice cream sandwich sandwich this time. The sandwich concept is a simple one. It involves having two pieces of bread with a bunch of stuff in the middle. For this recipe, the bread will be replaced by ice cream sandwiches. Plus, the inside stuff will be replaced by an ice cream sandwich.
A very important concept for this recipe is the order of ice cream sandwiches. For example, if you designate two ice cream sandwiches as the "bread" and one as the "inside" then you can't get them mixed up. It has to go "bread, inside, bread," not "bread, bread, inside" or "inside, bread, bread." It just won't work out right.
First, open up one ice cream sandwich. Sit that one down for now. We'll be using it later. Next, open another ice cream sandwich. Remember that first ice cream sandwich that we sat aside? Now, stack the newly opened ice cream sandwich on top of that one. Then sit those two aside for later.
Finally, open a third ice cream sandwich and stack that on top of the other two. This recipe requires at least three ice cream sandwiches, but feel free to try out the double decker or higher number. But if you just want the standard ice cream sandwich sandwich, then you should be done by now.
