12/14/2001 Entry: "according to emode.com i have an IQ of 129.... yeah, just try to top that"

well other dave topped that, he got 131.

i had to wake up early to go take an exam. or more precisely, stare blankly at paper for a few hours. i have two more tomorrow. yay. i think i might actually do well on those. or at least complete more than 70 percent of the exam.

now on to the fun stuff

i hung out with merman. and umm... john... yeah. good alias. man are they geeks. they play magic the gathering and talk about lord of the rings. anyway, we played tennis. i was under the impression that merman was really good at it. so i think he just pretended to play bad so that i wouldn't feel bad.

we went to a comic book and trading card place. we got a free hairy potter trading card game mat. and merman and john probably would've gotten more free stuff if they could speak tagalog. you know, the lady didn't want to tell them stuff while i was there. i found a cool astroboy action figure. with lights. it was $10. and it said 'for ages 13 and up' no that's not a typo, it really said 13. we couldn't figure out what was so bad about it. merman and john talked some geeky magic the gathering talk so i didn't understand.

then we went to another comic and trading card game store. they talked more geek talk with the store guy. and he gave them free stuff so that they'd come to play tournaments. we were there for a long long time.

we ate food at burger king. merman and john have some weird money food buying system where we can't order as one unit because they can't divide. so somehow it ended up where they paid $2 each and i paid $3 and then they ended up with a small drink and 3 hamburgers each and i ended up with a small drink and 2 hamburgers. it's times like those that almost make me miss jay.

then we finally went to the mall to check out para para paradise. it's ok i guess. i think i was too siked up for a really cool game so it just let me down. there were some people who were doing pretty cool stuff. either the sensors were kinda broken or i'm just not tall enough for the movements to register or something, because i was hardly hitting anything. it's hard to get centered on where you can hit the arrows. so it was kinda a disappointment. i only pased a few songs. it also doesn't give me the thrill of ddr. it's less of a workout on your body. so yeah, it's alright i guess. maybe i'll try it a few more times and see if i can get oriented correctly so that the movements will register.

i introduced merman to the world of creatures 3. a norn entered through docking station, and he has a grendel tail. it's creepy looking. and he walks really slow. and rests a lot. i also have reason to suspect that one of my norns may be immortal. or at least slow aging. he's two hours old but he's still a youth. for you non creatures players norns usually become an adult at around one hour and mine live up to around five hours. also i think i have a fast aging one. she's only two hours old but it says she's old. the rest of my norns are still adults at two hours. i just thought i'd keep you updated on the status of my norns. maybe i'll put up some pictures.
