11/05/2002 Entry: "belle and sebastian no shiidii ga arismasu ka?"

wonderful weather today. i didn't have to wear a sweater. but i did, just because i like the security that comes with wearing more clothes.
you know. because if someone so happens to run by and snatch whatever you are wearing as the top layer. you still have that bottom layer. and hopefully no one will snatch that one. otherwise. i hope you are wearing multiple layers.
oh yeah. i am screwed. i was supposed to take a lot of pictures. i did not. and i still have to come up with a new concept for my cd cover because i've been stuck in this japanese-euro graphic design aesthetics for like... 10 months. 11 maybe.
so... if you have any ideas... please help me out.
the band concept goes like this:
The group consists of former Nike factory worker Jack Mondalo Lee and Mischelle Kaludjerovic, ex-member of the Mini-Van Goghs and Hip-hop miscellaneous. Their influences range from Sergio Mendes and Brasil to more modern pop underground influences like Pulp, Takako Minekawa, and Cibo Matto. Their music acknowledges the fact that what they aredoing is inevitably derivative, yet amazingly original. One day you'd look at this duo and think they were old school break dancers. The next day you'd think they were the king and queen of your favorite thrift store. They're as painstakingly shy as Amelie, but they have the presence of Radiohead. In both live performances and recordings, they use an aray of instruments includingkeyboards, guitars, cello, samplers, tape players, the original nintendo, an atari 2600... When asked what their musical style was they unanimously answered, "melodic noise". Consider their presence a subtle fuck you to industry clones like Britney, Avril Lavigne, Incubus... and yeah, even that bald guy, what's his name, Moby?
justin had chicken sandwich making materials. so i had to sandwiches. and a fuji apple. how yummy!
today we went to the thrift store. and justin bought some asic track shoes and a shirt. there was nothing for me there. and. that thrift is really bad compared to thrift store city of norfolk. well. there was only one line at fan tastic. and justin had to go through it. and the guy was making a lot of suggestions that he was attracted to justin. a lot of winking. then when justin had to take something off the purchase because he couldn't afford it. the guy made him fill out this form with justin's name and address and phone number. and the guy had some sort of foreign accent. but what made him creepy was his greasy hair combined with all that winking and interest in justin. justin was kinda unhappy from that.
agh. i need to think of something for that project.
japanese lessons are awesome.
oh yeah. i thought you should know. i danced in the kitchen today.
little kid random dancing. you know. when you were a kid. and you were walking through a room. and at some random moment you felt like flailing your arms and shaking your hips and wiggling your legs because it made you happy.
we should do that more often, don't you agree?

i think you should go the poltregeist, movie box route with the album cover. That, or maybe the jackson 5 album cover ideas. I think that is a fine idea. Don't you?
