Lottery Lollipop.
I did not mention yesterday that I played the lottery. By play the lottery, I mean purchased a scratch ticket. It was a mere two dollar purchase, and it won me twenty dollars. I really won eighteen dollars if you do the math but it is much more fun to say I won twenty dollars. Today I tried again and I won three dollars. If you are thinking to yourself buying lottery tickets is a waste of time, I would like to point out the fact that the only way you can win the lottery is if you play the lottery. Secondly, though this may seem flawed logic, I am supporting the public school systems of Virginia much like the same way smokers support their state and local municipalities with the taxes they pay. However, unlike a smoker there is the possibility of a pay off in relation to the money spent. Lastly, to counter the argument that no one ever wins in the lottery, I will tell a brief anectdote about that. Before my perspicacious friend David went to Japan, he bought a lottery ticket to prove to me that no one ever wins the lottery. He proved himself wrong, because not only was it his first time playing but it was a winning ticket. Additionally, there was some sort of prize multiplier and I think he won triple the amount of what he should have. I guess if there was anything to take from reading this post, it is if you want to support public schools, potentially become rich, and not risk the possibility of contracting (I am not sure if you contract) cancer then buy a lottery ticket.
Dave, if you get a chance you could upload the image of that lottery ticket. It should go here.
In an unrelated story.
Earlier in the day I also bought a lollipop. It was for Gnat times two. She is only five years old. I told her yesterday I was going to buy her one as large as her head, but I was disappointed to find they only come in fractions of children head sizes. I guess I will have to let her know that they do not make lollipops as large as her fivehead. (In case you missed the pun, a fivehead is a play on the word forehead, which sounds like four head.) Telling a kindergartner they have a fivehead probably is not a nice thing to say, but I am confident the lollipop will make up for that.
Vicariously.
There are times when I wish I had a digital camera or a camcorder, especially after reading posts other people have online. Maybe if I wrote stories just as intriguing, I would not have to live vicariously through all their fun activities. Then again, I wonder how fun those same people have when the moment is strictly intended to be boring. If you think about it, it really is not that hard to have fun at a party, bar, or road trip. So, the next time I am stuck in a waiting room, an elevator, or my vehicle on the way to work, I will do my best to make it an event worth photographing or at least making it seem much more exciting as if it were picture worthy.
In case I did though, I would be sure to include captions that do not even remotey convey how much fun was going on. It'd be something like this. I would also to make reference to the event frequently.

Def Jam 3.
I concur with what David has written. If I remember correctly, the fact that the game was developed by AKI was one of its major selling points. To support the fact that it was not just a game exploiting the use of licenses was heavily used in the promotion of the series. Def Jam was destined to be an excellent title. The coaction of a contemporary soundtrack, over the top cartoony action with hints of realistic fighting, and responsive gameplay would lead me to proclaim that the DJ original and sequel (especially the sequel) are must have titles even for those not to fond of wrestler/brawler/rapper games. I also agree with what David has written regarding Electronic Arts electronic art of ruining franchises. I feel games developed and produced by EA on their own are fine such as their sports series. However, it seems when they obtain a series the case is not always true. There is the counterpoint of the SSX series, which I would have to say is the best cartoony snowboarding game currently avaible, which is not saying much. There is also the Burnout series, another niche game. Again, I would say the Burnout series is the best chaotic racing game, and again I would have to make the point that it is not saying much. Much like Spielberg directing a Kubrik film the intentions are always well meaning, yet the result seems to be lacking. Specifically, I refer to the James Bond: Agent Under Fire game as an example. This game came out after the era of Goldeneye, one of if not the best first person shooters available on consoles. Gamers hoping EA's reiteration would turn out many times better were sorely disappointed. I just hope EA does not make the same mistake with the DJ series.
Def Jam 3
Def Jam 3 is going to come out for the next generation systems. Now I know that there are way too many gangster video games out now, and most of them are bad, but Def Jam Vendetta, and especially Def Jam Fight for NY, were awesome. You'd think a game that was about rappers wrestling would be really gimmicky, but nope, it's a solid series. The gameplay is great, and just doing that probably blows away all the other hip hop and "street" games. Then the audio and visual stuff is great too. Probably the amin reason why the gameplay is so good is thanks to Aki, the company who made the game. They made most of the WCW wrestling games for the Nintendo 64. Those games all had great gameplay and mechanics, and the Def Jam series of games borrows a lot from that. It's actually funny though because the Def Jam games play like wrestling games, but they look like fighting games. I was really hoping for another sequel, and I discovered from goofing of on the IGN site that there will be a Def Jam 3, for the Xbox 360 and PS3. I was thinking that would be great, but then I also see it has EA listed as the makers of the game. For the other two games, Aki made them and EA published them, but it looks like for this next time EA is going to make the game as well. That has me wondering how good it will be if they mess with the Aki formula. They might make it worse, or try to make it more "mainstream" to sell more copies. I don't think Fight for NY sold that well. You can't really blame people for not buying it though. When you hear "wrestling/fighting game with rappers" you really can't trust how they say the game will be. We get burned so much with hip hop and street and gangster games that just use a good license to hide a mediocre game. So I'm telling you now, Def Jam Fight for NY is an amazing game, and worth whatever cheap price it's going for now. So get it now and don't wait until EA tries to mess it up in the next version.

Gaulalogue a logue
Here's Gaulalogue. It's getting good now. Possibly funnier than us. Possibly. Or probably funnier than us considering most people probably don't understand our inside jokes. Gaulalogue is like more general topics so more people will probably laugh at it. We here at killkaraoke have a very specific audience. And by that I mean Alex, Jay, me, possibly mer, probably the Gaul, and I can't really think of anyone else. But if you're not one of those people and you're here, then say what's up or something. Especially if you're a lady.
